The role

Duncan Cotterill is seeking a Senior Solicitor / Associate with 3-7 years of PQE in M&A to join their Auckland team. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial/corporate lawyer looking to take on more responsibility, build stronger client relationships, and work on a broad range of transactions.

What you'll do

Work on a broad mix of commercial and corporate advisory work
Handle business sale and purchase transactions, M&A, shareholder arrangements and joint ventures
Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
Manage capital raising, employee share schemes, restructures and succession planning matters
Have direct partner and client contact
Run aspects of matters
Contribute to strategy

What we're looking for

3-7 years' experience in general commercial and/or corporate work

Sound commercial judgment and confidence managing competing priorities

Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills

A practical, client-focused approach and confidence building relationships

A proactive, collaborative style and readiness to take greater ownership
