NQ Solicitor or Solicitor - EL/PL at DWF

The role

DWF is seeking an NQ Solicitor or Solicitor with 0-5 years of PQE to join their Insurance and Litigation practice group in Birmingham. This role will focus on handling a mixed caseload of defendant Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims.

What you'll do

Handle a mixed caseload of defendant fast-track and multi-track claims, in Employer’s Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL)
Assist senior team members on high value complex cases
Advise clients, including insurers and corporate clients, on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy
Draft documents
Prepare for court
Engage in settlement negotiations
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
Stay updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law

What we're looking for

Newly qualified to experienced Solicitors, preferably NQ - 5 years PQE

Demonstrable interest and prior experience in Defendant Employer’s Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL)

Experience handling defendant personal injury cases, either independently or in a supporting role

Previous experience within a defendant insurance law firm

Proven ability to manage a personal caseload effectively

Team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail

Experience handling in your own right or through supporting more senior team members on high value, complex personal injury cases· nice to have
