The role

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Solicitor with 2-4 years of experience to join their Corporate Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice in Melbourne. This role focuses on corporate transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors, including M&A and joint ventures.

What you'll do

Work closely with leading partners on a range of corporate transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors
Advise on the full deal lifecycle including a range of M&A, joint venture and project development matters
Advise on sector specific commercial contracts such as power purchase and other offtake agreements
Collaborate across a well-established network of lawyers

What we're looking for

Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand

2-4 years' experience in a leading corporate M&A practice

A strong academic record

A high level of attention to detail

A proactive approach

An ability to work collaboratively at times autonomously, and to tight timeframes

A curiosity about the sectors and our clients and an eagerness to create an exceptional experience for them

A genuine passion for M&A and corporate transactions, with a natural desire for continuous learning

An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies

Experience in the energy and/or infrastructure sectors· nice to have
