Employment Lawyer

The role

Weightmans is seeking an Employment Lawyer with 3-6 years of PQE to join their market-leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team. This role is based in Birmingham, Leeds, or London, and will involve managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for major UK employers.

What you'll do

• Advising clients on the full range of employment law issues, including redundancy, disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination and detriment claims
• Defending Employment Tribunal claims including drafting defences, bundles, witness statements and merits reports
• Assisting other members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate
• Drafting articles and legal updates
• Assisting with business development initiatives including training and networking
• Working in accordance with client and internal SLAs
• Working in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures
• Contributing to set team financial and utilisation targets
