Employment Lawyer

The role

Weightmans is seeking an Employment Lawyer with 3-6 years of PQE to join their market-leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team. This role will be based in Birmingham, Leeds, or London, focusing on advising employers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.

What you'll do

• Advise clients on the full range of employment law issues, including redundancy, disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination and detriment claims
• Defend Employment Tribunal claims including drafting defences, bundles, witness statements and merits reports
• Assist other members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate
• Draft articles and legal updates
• Assist with business development initiatives including training and networking
• Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs
• Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures
• Contribute to set team financial and utilisation targets
