The role
Gilbert + Tobin is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join its Melbourne office. This role will focus on a broad range of employment litigation and advisory matters, working closely with partners Dianne Banks and Tom Brett.
What you'll do
- Advise on employment litigation across the Fair Work Commission, tribunals and courts
- Advise on workplace investigations and whistleblower matters
- Advise on employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Advise on employment contracts, policies and industrial relations matters
- Advise on workplace change, performance management and termination matters
- Advise on workplace health and safety investigations and prosecutions
What we're looking for
Three or more years of post-qualification experience in employment or workplace law
Advisory and litigation experience
Ability to write clear and effective advice
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-reasoned decisions
The ability to build effective client relationships
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
