The role
Morrison & Foerster seeks a Mid-Level Employment + Labor Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its litigation practice in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington D.C. The role focuses on complex employment disputes, investigations, and compliance counseling for a diverse client base.
What we're looking for
4 – 6 years of experience in litigation
Experience providing advice and counsel on employment law compliance issues
Experience litigating trade secret/employee mobility and whistleblower claims
Experience defending companies in high-stakes wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment, and pay disputes
Experience defending companies in complex employment actions in state and federal court, including wage and hour, discrimination, and pay equity class, collective and representative actions
Experience conducting workplace investigations involving the C-suite
Experience conducting due diligence of potential employment law issues in corporate transactions
Experience negotiating executive employment, separation and similar agreements
Strong writing and client relations skills
Demonstrated ability to manage litigation on a day-to-day basis
Demonstrated ability to draft and argue substantive briefs and motions
Demonstrated ability to take and defend depositions with limited supervision
Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in
