The role

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking an Associate lawyer with 4-8 years of PQE to join their Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice group in Singapore. This role is focused on finance matters within the energy, infrastructure, and projects sectors, offering exposure to market-leading transactions and career development.

What you'll do

Advise on project finance transactions and other largely energy and infrastructure sector related financings, including acquisition finance and corporate finance
Draft, review, and negotiate finance and transaction documentation
Support due diligence processes and assist with the coordination of multi-jurisdictional workstreams
Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on transaction execution and client delivery
Assist with client development initiatives, knowledge sharing, and internal know-how
Explore opportunities to leverage AI and legal technology to improve efficiency and ways of working

What we're looking for

Qualified lawyer with 4-8 years of PQE in banking and finance

Preference for project finance experience

Strong drafting skills

Keen interest in complex financing structures

Commercially minded with sound judgement and attention to detail

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities

Collaborative, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality client service

Demonstrates curiosity around innovation and AI in legal practice

Solid grounding in project finance· nice to have
