The role

Simmons & Simmons is seeking an Interim Structured Products Lawyer with 5-8 years of PQE to join their Adaptive team in Hong Kong. This role will focus on providing legal advice and support on structured finance transactions.

What you'll do

Provide legal advice and support on structured finance transactions, including repackaging and secured lending
Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial documentation in line with bank’s internal standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure smooth execution of transactions
Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to structured finance and advise on implications
Support cross-border transactions and liaise with the legal teams in Tokyo and other global offices
Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to structured finance deals

What we're looking for

Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction

5-8 years of post-qualification experience in structured finance

Exposure to repackaging and secured lending

Familiarity with banking and finance documentation and transaction structures

Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Derivatives experience· nice to have
