Associate – Corporate (3-7 PQE)

The role

Charles Russell Speechlys is seeking a corporate lawyer with 3-7 PQE to join their Hong Kong office. This role will focus on M&A and related corporate and commercial matters for a diverse client base.

What you'll do

• Advise clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, including transactions, commercial agreements, data protection and privacy, intellectual property, and employment issues
• Manage matters independently from inception to completion, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal legal documentation and transaction-related materials
• Manage matters efficiently and deliver commercially focused legal solutions
• Engage in client marketing and business development activities including attending internal and external events and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
• Draft more complex documents with minimum instruction and supervision
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions on complex and cross-border matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and high quality work; provide client advice in a neat, practical and persuasive manner
• Apply a commercial approach to research and evaluate relevance and accuracy in delivery of advice
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with junior colleagues including delegation, mentoring and coaching skills
