The role
Jones Day is seeking a Senior Corporate M&A Associate for their Hong Kong office with 8+ years of experience. This role will focus on complex cross-border M&A, PE, and VC transactions within the firm's M&A practice.
What you'll do
- Lead and assist in executing complex M&A, PE, and VC transactions, as well as corporate commercial matters
- Conducting due diligence
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
- Coordinating with clients and other stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with our global teams to deliver seamless cross-border legal services
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including client networking and marketing efforts
- Work independently and excel in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
What we're looking for
A Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of PQE in corporate law and M&A
Hands-on experience with high-profile deals
Comprehensive knowledge of Greater China’s legal systems relevant to M&A
Strong understanding of international legal principles governing cross-border transactions
Fluency in English is essential
Experience gained at a top-tier law firm· nice to have
Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese· nice to have
