The role
A&O Shearman is seeking a Consulting Lawyer with 4+ years of experience in Corporate and Commercial law, specifically M&A, for their Hong Kong office. This role is for a self-directed consultant lawyer who wants to access top-tier work and resources.
What we're looking for
A right to work and reside in Hong Kong
Qualification to practice in at least one of England & Wales, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia
A minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm in your area of expertise
Strong technical knowledge and experience, ideally with some Asia experience
Excellent academic credentials
Self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant
Adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally
Client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment
Strong commercial/business acumen
Resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible
Advanced organisational skills and diplomacy
In-house legal experience at leading financial services institutions/corporates preferred (directly or as a secondee)· nice to have
