Banking & Finance - Junior Associate/ Associate at King & Wood

The role

King & Wood is seeking a Junior Associate or Associate with 1+ years of PQE to join their Banking & Finance practice group in Hong Kong. This role will focus on a broad range of financial regulatory and transactional matters, with a particular emphasis on digital assets, tokenisation, and other innovative financial products.

What you'll do

Work on a wide range of financial regulatory and transactional matters
Cover areas such as financial services regulation, digital assets, tokenisation, derivatives, structured products, cross-border financing and other innovative financial products and services
Take on certain matters autonomously and independently, seeking guidance when required

What we're looking for

1+ years of post-qualification legal experience

Qualified in Hong Kong

Common Law JD or LLB degree with strong academic performance

Strong memo writing and contract drafting skills

Strong legal research skills

Excellent legal, drafting, analytical and communication skills

Ability to adapt to complicated regulations and transactions across jurisdictions/cultures

Ability to identify and analyse complicated legal issues

Fluent English and Mandarin language skills (written and verbal Mandarin communications skills required)

Passion for the law and eager to learn new things

Attention to detail and responsible

Proactive and pragmatic

Experience preferably gained within an international law firm· nice to have

Interest in digital assets, tokenisation, AI and financial innovation· nice to have
