Senior Associate -Litigation

The role

Mourant is seeking a Senior Associate for its Litigation practice in Hong Kong. This role is for an experienced litigation lawyer to manage a diverse caseload of complex disputes, including commercial litigation, financial services, regulatory matters, insolvency, and restructuring.

What you'll do

• Manage a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters, acting as the primary responsible timekeeper under partner supervision
• Liaise directly with clients, opposing counsel and other professional advisers to progress matters effectively
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, court documents and other legal submissions, and attend hearings where required
• Maintain effective matter management, including client due diligence requirements, billing and financial management responsibilities
• Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers, paralegals and support staff within the team
• Contribute to training initiatives and wider projects that support the development of the Litigation practice
• Support business development activities through client relationship building, thought leadership, networking events and marketing initiatives
• Manage competing priorities effectively, ensuring matters are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
• Take ownership of continuous professional development and legal knowledge enhancement
