The role
Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a Lawyer, Real Assets (Property) with 2+ years of PQE to join their Real Estate practice group in Sydney. This role will involve working closely with Partner Amanda Hempel on complex real estate transactions and development matters across various asset classes.
What you'll do
- Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial and other real assets, including large-scale property portfolios
- Advise on real estate and infrastructure development projects and associated transaction structures
- Prepare and negotiate agreements for lease, leases and other complex property documentation
- Advise major corporate occupiers on strategic and high-value leasing arrangements
- Advise on the property aspects of broader corporate and infrastructure transactions
- Advise on transactions across sectors including energy and renewables, hospitality, logistics, rural and agribusiness, and other operational real assets
What we're looking for
Two or more years’ post-qualified experience in real estate and property or a related transactional area
Proven drafting, analytical and transaction management skills
Experience advising on complex property transactions, development projects and/or leasing matters
A practical and client-focused approach to solving problems
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
Ability to manage deadlines and competing demands effectively
Commercial judgment and an interest in understanding the broader drivers behind clients’ transactions
An interest in contributing to both exceptional client outcomes and the continued growth of the Real Assets practice· nice to have
