Lawyer, Competition, Consumer + Market Regulation

The role

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a Lawyer with 3+ years of experience to join their market-leading Competition, Consumer + Market Regulation (CCMR) practice in Melbourne. This role focuses on complex competition law and regulatory matters, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions and litigation.

What you'll do

• Be involved in mergers and acquisitions, including ACCC clearances
• Work on competition law issues arising from joint ventures and strategic alliances
• Engage in ACCC investigations, enforcement proceedings and litigation
• Handle criminal investigations under the CCA
• Advise on access regimes, economic regulation and pricing decisions
• Contribute to regulatory design and implementation for government entities in the Asia Pacific region
• Participate in legislative reform, including preparing submissions to government and regulatory reviews
• Address misleading and deceptive conduct, consumer protection and unconscionability issues
