The role

Lander & Rogers is seeking a Cyber Lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join their Technology practice in Sydney, Australia. This role involves managing cyber incident response, advising on cyber risks and data breach obligations, and handling cyber coverage issues.

What you'll do

• Manage cyber incident response matters from initial triage through to resolution, working closely with clients, insurers and technical experts
• Provide practical legal advice on cyber incident risks, privacy and data breach obligations, including regulatory and individual notifications where required
• Act as a key client contact throughout the response process, coordinating stakeholders, obtaining instructions and advising on recoveries and disputes arising from incidents
• Advise insurers on cyber coverage issues
• Act as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidents with day-to-day carriage of matter
• Prepare briefs for Counsel to advise if necessary
• Advise on any disputes or class actions arising from a data breach
