The role
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Solicitor with 2+ years of experience to join their leading Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety team in Brisbane. This role involves advising blue-chip clients on a range of employment law, industrial relations, and safety matters, working closely with Partners Aaron Anderson and Matthew Cameron.
What you'll do
- Advise blue chip clients across multiple sectors on employment law, industrial relations and safety matters
- Play a key role on matters
- Supervise and develop more junior team members
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients
- Undertake a range of work supporting and advising clients on industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, industrial action, employment aspects of large-scale M&A and projects transactions, advice on compliance, workplace investigations, interface with industrial and safety regulators, including investigations and prosecutions, and all types of Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings
What we're looking for
Admission to practice in Australia or New Zealand
At least 2 years’ experience as a Solicitor delivering advice on a range of employment law and industrial relations matters from a leading private practice, government, or in-house environment
Excellent academic results and commitment to continuous learning
Strong communication skills and drive to develop as a lawyer within a market-leading practice
