The role

Goodwin is seeking a Junior Associate for its Private Equity M&A practice in San Francisco. This role is for a lawyer with experience or a demonstrated interest in private M&A and growth equity transactions, who can manage client relationships and understand transaction processes.

What we're looking for

Class of 2025 associate

Some experience or demonstrated interest in private M&A and growth equity transactions

Basic understanding of the diligence process, ancillary workstreams, and organizing a signing/closing process

Ability to exercise good judgment

Ability to communicate proactively

Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships

Outstanding academic credentials

Comparable law firm experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
