The role
Mills & Reeve is seeking a Senior Associate for its Commercial team in London. This role is for an experienced solicitor with 4+ years of PQE, focusing on technology and commercial matters.
What you'll do
- Advise on a broad range of commercial and technology matters, including AI and emerging technologies
- Lead on technology licensing, outsourcing and supply chain contracts
- Support clients with complex commercial arrangements and strategic projects
- Supervise Associates on contract drafting, data protection work and legal due diligence
- Deliver practical, commercially focused advice to a diverse client base
- Develop client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
- Provide training to clients on key legal and regulatory developments
- Collaborate with colleagues nationally and occasionally support the firm's own IT and data protection projects
What we're looking for
4+ years' PQE gained in a large regional, national or international firm
Strong technical contract law experience
Interest in technology, outsourcing and the evolving commercial landscape
Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for mentoring junior lawyers
Commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset
