The role
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld is seeking an Investment Funds Secondaries Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their M&A practice in New York or Washington D.C. This role focuses on secondary investment transactions, including continuation funds and LP-led secondaries.
What you'll do
- Provide legal support for continuation fund transactions
- Provide legal support for LP-led secondaries
- Provide legal support for fund formations
- Provide legal support for other types of secondary market transactions
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Stellar academic credentials
Comparable law firm experience
Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment
Required to be available to work in person
General corporate experience is helpful but not required· nice to have
Strong legal expertise in private equity· nice to have
Strong legal expertise in secondaries· nice to have
Strong legal expertise in fund-related transactions· nice to have
