The role

K&L Gates is seeking a 2027 First Year Capital Markets Associate for its Charlotte office. This role is designed for individuals with a strong academic background and a demonstrated interest in corporate and securities law, offering opportunities to work on public and private securities offerings and related transactions.

What you'll do

Work with the firm's Capital Markets team and clients on a variety of matters, including public and private securities offerings, Exchange Act reporting, corporate governance, and general corporate transactions
Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact
Provide active mentoring

Demonstrated interest in corporate and securities law

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills

Successful completion of a background check

Prior exposure to corporate and securities related matters or other relevant experience· nice to have
