The role
Baker McKenzie is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join their M&A practice in Belfast, United Kingdom. This role focuses on assisting with a wide range of complex, multijurisdictional corporate transactions and providing high-quality legal advice.
What you'll do
- Work on a wide range of corporate transactions that are often multijurisdictional, high value, and complex
- Assist the Firm's offices with a diverse range of corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Draft corporate documentation
- Conduct large scale due diligence projects
- Draft due diligence reports
- Act as a country or regional co-ordinator on global transactions
- Work as part of project teams with other Baker McKenzie lawyers, legal project managers, and legal tech team members
- Escalate project-specific issues to the Belfast management group or project partner
- Develop strong working relationships with partners and lawyers in various practice groups
- Assist with bespoke projects other than billable matters
- Contribute to the identification of innovative services, methods, know-how, and platforms to assist in achieving efficiencies and continual process improvement
What we're looking for
Qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland and/or England and Wales
Demonstrable corporate experience
Excellent academics
Ability to review, analyze, and organize documentary and factual evidence

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team and individually
Sound commercial awareness and a "client first" service orientation

Excellent writing and organization skills
Ability to balance work priorities and manage deadlines effectively
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools
