Associate - Data Protection

The role

Byrne Wallace Shields is seeking a Data Protection Associate with 3+ years of PQE to join their Technology practice in Dublin, Ireland. This role will focus on advising clients on a range of privacy, data protection, GDPR, and commercial contract matters.

What you'll do

• Advise on privacy, data protection, GDPR and commercial contracts
• Advise on data sharing and data processing agreements
• Advise on data protection policies and procedures
• Advise on data protection in commercial contracts and transactions
• Advise on online terms and conditions, e-privacy and direct marketing
• Conduct gap analysis/risk assessment/data protection impact assessments
• Monitor and respond to developments in data protection and information security
• Provide support to other business units as required on data protection issues
• Provide ongoing training and support to clients
• Investigate data breaches and carry out remedial work in the aftermath of data breaches
