The role
Matheson is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Lawyer with 3-5 years of PQE to join their IP Disputes team in Dublin. The role involves working on complex IP disputes for international and domestic clients, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with partners.
What you'll do
- Work on complex multi-jurisdictional IP disputes for a variety of clients, collaborating with in-house counsel on global IP strategies
- Work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary specialist teams on high value and business critical client projects
- Manage junior and associate lawyers and help mentor and develop them
- Participate in a variety of business development opportunities including representing Matheson at international conferences and client development activities abroad
- Help drive thought leadership in IP law through the Matheson client knowledge programme
What we're looking for
Solicitor with 3 to 5 years PQE in IP matters

Experience of managing IP portfolios, filings before the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland and EUIPO
Experience of IP licensing, assignments, and commercial agreements

Ability to manage a diverse workload, deliver quality, commercially-focused advice with minimal supervision, and lead and develop junior lawyers
Enthusiastic about business development, helping develop junior colleagues, and managing client relationships
