The role

Thomsons is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 2-8 years of PQE to join their Corporate M&A team in Perth, Australia. This role involves providing legal advice on high-profile matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate advisory.

What you'll do

Provide legal advice across a wide spectrum of high-profile matters
Act for a variety of clients across various industries
Work on mergers and acquisitions
Handle equity & debt capital markets
Provide corporate advisory
Manage joint ventures
Negotiate commercial arrangements
Advise on corporate governance
Handle restructures
Draft and review general commercial and corporate contracts
Conduct legal due diligence
Draft due diligence reports
Provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to corporate clients

What we're looking for

2-8 years PAE

Experience in M&A transactions

Strong background in corporate advisory work

Experience gained in mid to top-tier firms

Ability to work collaboratively in a team

Solid experience with legal due diligence

Experience with reviewing and drafting contracts

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent attention to detail

Strong academics

Client focused

Commercially minded

Strong willingness to learn

Hands-on approach
