The role
HWLE Lawyers is seeking a Solicitor to join their Health Law practice group in Brisbane. This role is for a lawyer with experience in health law matters, including litigation, coronial inquests, and regulatory complaints, to advise prominent medical defence organisations, health insurers, and private health entities.
What you'll do
- Assist with the end-to-end management of complex health law matters
- Provide timely and accurate advice to clients
- Support clients through challenging and difficult processes and procedures
- Appear at mediations, witness interviews, inquests and disciplinary hearings
- Client management and relationships
What we're looking for
Full working rights in Australia
Valid practising certificate
Experience in medical indemnity, health, statutory insurance, and/or regulatory work
Excellent written and oral skills
Ability to engage well with insurers, corporate counsel of health entities, individual practitioners and management of health clinics
A passion for complex, diverse and dynamic work
A strong interest in medico-legal issues and claims management
