The role

HWLE Lawyers is seeking a Senior Associate for their Brisbane Corporate & Commercial practice group. This role is for an experienced lawyer with 5+ years of PQE, focusing on M&A and general corporate advisory work.

What you'll do

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
Capital raising
Structuring and corporate restructures
Commercial contract matters
Scoping, planning and conducting due diligence
Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents (e.g. sale and purchase agreements, disclosure materials)
Managing the completion process

What we're looking for

5+ years PAE within a reputable corporate practice

Excellent analytical and communication skills to deliver technically and commercially astute advice

Proven experience in preparing and negotiating transaction documents and commercial contracts

Advising on governance agreements

Drafting corporate head office advice

Strategic and critical thinking capabilities

Well-developed project and relationship management ability

Ability to work autonomously

Ability to mentor junior colleagues

Ability to allocate resources to ensure effective utilisation of the team
