The role
Baker McKenzie is seeking a Senior Associate for their Transactional Practice Group in Melbourne. This role is for an experienced lawyer with 5-7 years of PQE in transactional law, focusing on the energy sector and M&A.

- Lead significant aspects of matters

- Mentor junior lawyers
- Contribute to the growth of our client relationships and practice
What we're looking for
5-7 years' PQE gained at a top-tier or leading international law firm
Strong experience across a broad range of matters in the energy sector
Excellent academic record
Strong track record of advising clients on complex energy and resources transactions
Ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships and deliver commercially focused, strategic advice
Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers
Proactive approach to business development and a genuine interest in building your professional profile and network
Strong matter and project management skills
Experience in oil and gas and / or mining matters· nice to have
