The role

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking an Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects Associate with 2-4 years of experience in London. This role is within their IERP practice, focusing on transactional and projects-related work in the infrastructure and energy transition sectors.

What you'll do

Manage transactions, as appropriate and depending on their complexity
Proactively develop legal knowledge further
Ensure timely delivery to high quality standards
Show awareness of legal developments affecting any specialist areas
Regularly attend appropriate training sessions
Act as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise
Perform the appropriate amount of research based on partner and matter needs
Work cost effectively to provide value to meet clients’ needs
Take ownership for own career development
Actively work to develop and strengthen new client relationships
Take an active role in managing the firm's reputation both in and out of work

What we're looking for

Lawyer with infrastructure, energy, resources and projects experience

Ideally 2-4 years PQE or equivalent experience

Strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree)

Excellent written communication and drafting skills

Outstanding technical skills

Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues

Ability to work well in a team

Good working knowledge and understanding of the legal principles associated with infrastructure, energy, resources and projects deals

Good grounding in company and contract law

Strong project management and organisational skills

Good problem solving ability, with attention to detail and focus on accuracy

Resilient and able to perform effectively under pressure with good time management skills

Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral

Demonstrates commercial awareness

Candidates should be at a leading City or US firm

Appetite to develop use of new legal technology as appropriate for the tasks· nice to have
