The role

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is seeking a Senior Associate for its Corporate Energy & Natural Resources practice in Perth, Australia. This role is for an experienced lawyer with approximately five years of post-qualification experience, focusing on complex transactional matters in the energy and natural resources sector.

What you'll do

Advise on some of the largest and most complex deals in the market, across both domestic and cross-border mandates
Advise on private and public M&A across the broader energy and natural resources sectors
Advise on joint ventures, royalties and offtake transactions in the mining and oil and gas sectors
Advise on energy and natural resources project development and operations

What we're looking for

Approximately five years' post-qualification experience at a leading top tier firm

Strong generalist corporate M&A capability across public and private transactions

Demonstrated experience in, or a genuine interest in developing expertise in, energy and natural resources transactions

Outstanding drafting skills and superior analytical capability

Ability to effectively manage matters and lead junior team members

Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to build lasting client relationships

Willingness to participate in business development activities and build your profile in the energy and natural resources sector

Desire to grow as both a lawyer and a leader
