The role
K&L Gates is seeking a midlevel associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their International Trade, Investment Controls, and National Security practice group in Washington D.C. This role focuses on regulatory practices within export/import controls, foreign ownership, sanctions, and other trade regulations.
What you'll do
- Work closely with experienced lawyers
- Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact

Three to five years of legal experience
Versed and conversant in regulatory practices within export and import controls, foreign ownership, control, or influence mitigation measures, sanctions and other trade regulations
Very strong writing experience
Project management experience
Strong academic credentials
