Law Graduate to Lawyer, Commercial Insurance

The role

This role is for a Law Graduate or Lawyer with up to 2 years of experience to join Sparke Helmore's Commercial Insurance team in Sydney. The position focuses on defending litigated claims and managing claim portfolios for CTP insurers and government agencies, with opportunities for advocacy work.

What you'll do

• Represent licensed CTP insurers and scheme agents in managing claim portfolios
• Defend litigated claims
• Be involved in regular advocacy work in the Administrative Review Tribunal
• Support major general insurers in designing and implementing claims systems
• Assist with strategic audits for insurers
• Review risk analysis and reserves for insurers
• Develop skills through mentoring and supporting senior team members
