The role

HWLE Lawyers is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Insurance practice group in Canberra. This role involves working on complex and varied insurance matters, developing client relationships, and contributing to strategic outcomes for insurers and other clients.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3+ years' PAE with experience in specialised or broader defendant insurance work

Demonstrated ability to run matters with increasing independence

Strategic and critical thinking capability

A consultative approach to clients who value clear communication

Strong relationship building abilities and being part of a close-knit team

Excellent drafting and analytical capability

Full working rights in Australia

A valid practising certificate
