Legal consultant – 5-7 PQE - Construction & Infrastructure - UAE at A&O Shearman

The role

This role is for a Legal Consultant with 5-7 years of PQE in non-contentious Construction & Infrastructure law. The position is based in Dubai, UAE, and is with A&O Shearman, focusing on supporting major projects and infrastructure development.

What we're looking for

Minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier for construction, projects and infrastructure work

Practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the region

Experience in drafting and negotiating numerous construction related contracts (both in FIDIC and bespoke forms) for a wide range of projects

Experience in drafting and negotiating several O&M and FM contracts

Experience providing legal services and advising on all areas of construction law including associated areas and matters related to contractors, subcontractors and design professionals

Recent in-house legal experience within an energy, transport or infrastructure company· nice to have

Experience in the Middle East· nice to have

Fluency in Arabic· nice to have
