Senior Associate to Special Counsel, Commercial Litigation at Sparke Helmore

The role

Sparke Helmore is seeking a Senior Associate to Special Counsel for their Commercial Litigation team in Brisbane, Australia. This role is for an experienced litigator with 10+ years of PQE, focusing on a broad range of commercial disputes.

What you'll do

Act for public and private corporations, government authorities, SMEs and individuals in a diverse range of commercial disputes
Manage contractual disputes
Manage Corporations Act matters
Manage property disputes including planning and environment, land resumption and compensation matters
Manage defamation matters
Manage personal and corporate insolvency matters
Engage in meaningful client contact
Be involved across all stages of matters
Appear in State and Federal Courts
Build lasting client relationships through direct engagement
Strengthen leadership skills
Play a key role in the continued growth and success of the team

What we're looking for

10+ years' experience in a well-regarded Commercial Litigation and/or Insolvency practice

Strong academic credentials

Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ambitious and commercially minded

Genuine interest in developing client relationships

Genuine interest in growing a practice

Genuine interest in taking on increasing responsibility

Ability to manage matters autonomously

Ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment
