Senior Associate at Dentons

The role

Dentons is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Environmental, Litigation, and Regulatory practice in London. This role is for an experienced lawyer with over 5 years of PQE, focusing on environmental and ESG matters, including transactional advisory and contentious regulatory work.

What you'll do

Advise on new legislation such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
Undertake regulatory work including environmental and health and safety prosecutions and inquests
Engage in transactional work on large complex cross border transactions
Develop your skill set to build and maintain client relationships
Contribute to business development and thought leadership
Raise the profile of the team and firm externally

What we're looking for

5+ years of PQE

English law legal knowledge gained within a top-tier city firm

Strong academic record

Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability

Experience and knowledge in at least some of the following: Environmental law, ESG and sustainability, Health and Safety, Human rights and social compliance, Non financial reporting and disclosure, Climate change and carbon trading, Product regulation

Takes responsibility for own work

Is dedicated to exceptional client service

Has a keen interest in business development and demonstrates market focus

Strong financial, commercial and business awareness

Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills
