Associate - Personal Injury or Catastrophic Loss at DWF

The role

DWF is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience in Personal Injury or Catastrophic Loss to join their London office. This role is for an ambitious lawyer to handle complex, high-value cases for leading insurers.

What you'll do

Handle a multi-track Personal Injury or Catastrophic Loss caseload
Assist senior team members on high value complex cases
Advise clients on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy
Draft documents
Prepare for court
Engage in settlement negotiations
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
Stay updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law

What we're looking for

3+ PQE

Experience in defender litigation

Personal Injury, Catastrophic Loss, Motor, Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Employers’ Liability (EL), and Public Liability (PL) case experience

Technical experience or interest in Catastrophic Injury, Motor, Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Employers’ Liability (EL), and Public Liability (PL) work

Experience handling high value defendant files

Familiar with working in a commercial environment

Strong academics

Enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge· nice to have

Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities· nice to have

Confident oral and written communication skills· nice to have
