Mining & Resources (Litigation) - Lawyer/Associate at Mills Oakley

The role

Mills Oakley is seeking a Lawyer/Associate with 1-5 years of PQE to join their Brisbane Mining & Resources team. This role will focus on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, working alongside partner Rachel Hendrie on complex cases across various industries.

What you'll do

Advise clients on commercial disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations
Develop litigation and dispute resolution strategies
Assist with advocacy, court proceedings, and trial preparation
Handle document-intensive matters and evidence preparation
Collaborate with and coordinate legal teams, clients, and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

Between 1-5 years’ PQE gained within a reputable litigation team

Experience in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, regulatory investigations, or related areas

Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills

The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively on complex matters

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

A commercial mindset with a strong focus on achieving practical outcomes for clients

Relevant in-house experience may be considered
