The role

DLA Piper seeks a mid-level Emerging Growth & Venture Capital Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their Boston office. The role will focus on representing emerging growth companies and institutional investors in venture capital financings, M&A transactions, and corporate matters.

What you'll do

Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis
Draft well-written, error free, and reasoned legal documents
Manage a variety of complex transactions from inception to resolution
Build, maintain, and cultivate strong internal and external client relationships
Work collaboratively with other lawyers and business professionals
Attend, support, and participate in high-level legal activities
Ensure rigorous compliance with legal standards and regulations
Proactively seek out and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

What we're looking for

3 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience

Admitted to practice in the state in which they are officing

JD Degree from an accredited law school

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Good business and professional judgment

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Conceptual thinking

Persuasive communication

Management skills

Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred· nice to have
