The role

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a Lawyer with 3+ years of experience to join its Energy, Resources and Infrastructure practice in Sydney, Australia. This role will involve working with partners on complex, high-value transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors, focusing on the energy transition.

What you'll do

Support clients on complex, high-value transactions
Gain exposure to mergers and acquisitions, project development, joint ventures and financing arrangements across energy and critical infrastructure sectors

What we're looking for

Minimum of three years' post-admission experience gained in private practice, in-house or a combination of both

Experience in energy, infrastructure or project-related transactions

Strong technical capability and an understanding of transaction structures and risk allocation

Ability to manage workstreams and contribute meaningfully to complex matters

Confidence engaging with clients and other stakeholders

Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail

Collaborative mindset and genuine interest in developing deep energy expertise

Ideal exposure to financing, development, acquisitions or joint ventures· nice to have

Experience working across complex or multi-party matters· nice to have
