The role
HopgoodGanim is seeking a Solicitor with 2-5 years of experience in Corporate and M&A law to join their Brisbane team. This role will focus on M&A transactions, capital markets, and general corporate advisory, supporting partners and senior practitioners.
What you'll do
- Support and advise on equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, demergers and secondary raisings
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions and takeovers, including due diligence and preparing and negotiating transaction documents
- Assist listed companies with corporate and regulatory matters, including general meetings, ASX and ASIC liaison, and Listing Rule compliance including continuous disclosure
- Support and advise on corporate governance for listed, unlisted and private companies
What we're looking for
Approximately 2-5 years' post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law
Ideally with exposure to M&A transactions
Sound understanding of key transaction stages, including due diligence, structuring, drafting and negotiation, signing and completion
Working knowledge across capital markets transactions, commercial negotiations and general corporate advisory
Solid understanding of the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules
Well-developed drafting and legal research skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organisation
Ability to manage competing priorities and files
