The role
WilmerHale is seeking a Financial Institutions Associate with 3-6 years of PQE for its Finance practice in New York. The role focuses on advising banks and financial institutions on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters.
What we're looking for
Juris Doctor degree
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the position is based
3-6 years of post-JD experience
Experience at a bank regulatory agency, law firm, or in-house advising banks and financial institutions on regulatory and compliance matters
Experience with federal banking laws, consumer protection laws and regulations, or anti-money laundering and economic sanctions laws and regulations
Experience advising on supervisory matters, transactions, regulatory and compliance advice, and/or enforcement matters
Excellent writing skills
Strong analytical skills
Willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment
Experience with fintechs, payment platforms and processors, and crypto companies· nice to have
