The role
Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton is seeking an IP Associate with 2-3 PQE for their London office. This role focuses on intellectual property, technology, and commercial transactions, including data protection matters, for a leading multinational firm.

- Supervise trainees in the team
- Play an active role in business development
What we're looking for
At least two years’ post-qualification experience working in a transactional IP/IT practice group at a leading firm
A focus on transactional IP and technology work
Commercial contracts and IP licensing experience
AI and emerging technologies advisory experience
Data protection (GDPR/UK DPA) experience
Outstanding academics
Versatility and a willingness to get involved in a broad variety of international corporate and commercial transactions within IP/IT and data protection
An entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset
A committed, enthusiastic and driven character
Willingness to take on a leadership role and mentor juniors in the team
Collegiality, commercial-mindedness and high degree of comfort when dealing with clients and other firms
