The role
Weightmans is seeking a Regulatory Defence Solicitor with 3-5 years of PQE to join their Health Law practice group in Leeds or London. This role involves advising on regulatory and disciplinary matters within the healthcare sector.
What you'll do
- Take responsibility for cases with minimal supervision
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
- Assist other lawyers in the team with their work
- Support lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers
- Conduct Advocacy including at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate
- Advising on Fitness to Practice (GDC/GMC and other Regulatory) Investigations, Inquests, police investigations and Trust disciplinary cases

Qualified solicitor 3 to 5 years PQE
Advocacy skills
Knowledge in the Healthcare Regulatory field
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work to deadlines and targets

Excellent collaborative and team working skills
