The role
Weightmans is seeking a Regulatory Defence Solicitor with 3-5 years of PQE to join their Health Law and Regulatory team in Leeds or London. This role will involve advising on various regulatory, disciplinary, coronial, and criminal matters within the healthcare sector.
What you'll do
- Take responsibility for cases with minimal supervision
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
- Assist other lawyers in the team with their work, including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers
- Conduct Advocacy including at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate
- Advising on Fitness to Practice (GDC/GMC and other Regulatory) Investigations, Inquests, police investigations and Trust disciplinary cases

Qualified solicitor 3 to 5 years PQE
Advocacy skills
Knowledge in the Healthcare Regulatory field
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work to deadlines and targets
Good communication skills
Excellent collaborative and team working skills
Previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work
