The role

White & Case is seeking an Associate in Commercial Litigation for their London office. This role is for a lawyer with 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, focusing on complex cross-border disputes and high-stakes business litigation.

What you'll do

Be given responsibility for a wide range of tasks spanning drafting and document analysis
Undertake legal research
Handle correspondence
Assist with trial preparation
Be closely involved in the development of trial strategy
Regularly attend court hearings

What we're looking for

3-5 years’ experience within commercial litigation

Experience gained wholly or in part at a large commercial law firm

Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity

Analytical rigor to grasp the legal intricacies of complex cross-border disputes

Competitive spirit needed to thrive in the adversarial court arena

Excellent communication skills

Flair for legal drafting

Enthusiasm for the linguistic and technical challenge of constructing legal arguments

Ability to see the bigger picture and distill complex information into clear, insightful analyses

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and produce exceptional work to tight deadlines
