The role
Shoosmiths is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate with 5+ years of experience to join its Leeds-based Leveraged Finance practice. This role focuses on transactional work, including leveraged finance, corporate financings, and growth lending, for a national and international client base.
What you'll do
- Draft and negotiate facilities agreements
- Negotiate security documents (both LMA and non-LMA form)
- Negotiate intercreditor arrangements
- Work closely with corporate and restructuring teams
- Undertake in life work on a portfolio basis working with lenders and borrowers on restructures, re-sets, restatements and bolt-ons
- Assume matter responsibility
- Participate in client development initiatives
What we're looking for
At least 6 years PQE
Strong leveraged finance experience
Strong cashflow experience
Strong general banking experience
Naturally proactive approach
Experience liaising with lenders, borrowers, intermediaries and/or investors on the full transaction lifecycle
