Key requirements
A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered), already operating at a senior level in commercial dispute resolution A proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client relationships and, possibly, already have a client-following Experience of supervising and/or managing junior team members Able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
The role
TLT is seeking a Legal Director in Commercial Dispute Resolution for its Birmingham office. This senior role is for an ambitious solicitor with a proven track record in commercial dispute resolution and business development, offering a pathway to partnership.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of the firm’s commercial dispute resolution practice
- Deal with a variety of commercial disputes at all levels, including litigation, arbitration and mediation
- Collaborate closely with Partners and the wider team on a nationwide basis
- Take a leading role with networking and business development initiatives
- Contribute to best practice and precedent development
- Undertake ad hoc travel to London, to attend client meetings, conferences with Counsel and for Court hearings
- Support with the development and supervision of more junior team members
- Manage your own caseload ensuring your experience is varied and broad
- Work with notable clients and become a sector specialist
What we're looking for

Able to confidently provide strategic advice to a variety of TLT clients
An active, senior member of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally
