Senior Associate at Bristows

The role

Bristows is seeking a Senior Associate with 6+ years of experience to join their Litigation practice in London. The role focuses on complex commercial and contract disputes, particularly within the life sciences and technology sectors.

What you'll do

Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, both in writing and orally
Delegate to and manage a team of junior associates, trainees and/or paralegals where needed
Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients

What we're looking for

6+ years of experience

Demonstrable experience working on disputes in key areas such as IT outsourcing and project disputes, IP licence disputes, contractual copyright disputes, confidentiality/trade secrets disputes, and other contract disputes for clients in the technology and life sciences sectors

Hands-on experience of litigation in the High Court and/or arbitration as well as mediation

Top-notch legal skills

Ability to analyse complex factual and legal situations

Ability to generate solutions and options that make sense in the context of a client’s business and commercial goals

Experience and confidence in taking responsibility for and proactively managing cases

Experience delegating to and managing a team of junior associates, trainees and/or paralegals where needed

Committed to taking an active role in business development

Genuine interest in working with clients in the life sciences and technology sectors

Experience of multi-jurisdictional disputes· nice to have
