Associate - Catastrophic Loss at DWF

The role

DWF is seeking a qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years of PQE to join their nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team in Newcastle. This role is ideal for a lawyer experienced in complex, high-value defendant personal injury cases, including Employers' Liability, Public Liability, and Road Traffic Accidents, and offers opportunities for progression.

What you'll do

Assist senior team members on high value complex cases
Advise clients, including insurers and corporate clients, on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy
Draft documents
Prepare for court
Engage in settlement negotiations
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
Stay updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law

What we're looking for

2-5 years PQE

Experience handling or assisting on defendant multi-track personal injury cases, including EL/PL or RTA matters

Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law, liability, and quantum assessment

Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills

Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

A commitment to delivering outstanding service and results
