The role
DWF Law LLP is seeking an NQ Solicitor or Solicitor to join their Major Injury & Casualty team in Scotland. This role will involve managing a varied caseload of litigated Employers Liability, Public Liability, and Personal Injury or Catastrophic Loss claims, working with both pre-litigated and Sheriff Court matters.
What you'll do
- Ensure that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Work with clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice
- Prioritise work effectively and maximise efficiency in working practices
- Build stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Develop technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices
What we're looking for

Experience managing Employers Liability, Public Liability and Catastrophic Loss claims
Insurance litigation experience is essential
Previous experience in Scottish law is essential
A Scotland legal qualification is essential
Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's - Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Abuse, Disease, Personal Injury, Serious Injury and Catastrophic Injury· nice to have
Experience of acting for Defenders, including litigation experience· nice to have
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills· nice to have
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written· nice to have
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure· nice to have
